This Women’s Retreat focuses on understanding and achieving hormonal balance and pelvic health through theory, body movement, Pilates and Yoga. We will explore the mind-body connection and gain a greater understanding of how to support your own body back into balance.

You are in really good hands with two highly experienced practitioners, Lisa and Elena, who have a combined experience of over 40yrs in women’s health and wellbeing.

HORMONAL BALANCE YOGA with Lisa

As women, we all experience a variety of symptoms due to hormonal imbalance. By understanding the connection of the mind and body, you can use Hormonal Yoga therapy to help chart a path towards alleviating these symptoms.

Hormonal Yoga Therapy is a holistic approach that aims to balance hormones naturally through specific yoga poses, breathing techniques and meditation. This type of yoga practice can help reduce stress, improve circulation and stimulate the endocrine glands responsible for regulating hormones.

During this 3 day Retreat we will work together so that you leave feeling empowered to take charge of your own health.

PELVIC HEALTH PILATES with Elena

There are many ways that Pilates can be beneficial for pelvic health. Pilates is an exercise form that focuses on engaging core muscles, including the pelvic floor muscles. It can help promote better alignment and posture and increase awareness of the pelvic floor.

Over our time together you will discover how you can help to support the organs in the pelvis and reduce weak or dysfunctional muscles. This is achieved through movement patterns that are done through a series of controlled exercises that work to strengthen and engage. Through practicing these movements you will gain greater knowledge and control of your pelvic health.

Now is the time to cultivate a sense of inner strength and peace! Whether you are looking to reconnect with yourself or simply take a break from the hustle and bustle of daily life, this Women’s Retreat is the perfect opportunity. Rejuvenate your body, mind and spirit. Relax, have fun and laughter with like minded souls. And eat delicious food! Don’t miss out on this unique experience, register today!

The Breathing Space studio

This large, light-filled space has commanding views over the Barrow River and surrounding forests, as well as the 7th century monastic settlement of St Mullins itself.  Although it was designed specifically to function as a yoga studio and mediatation space,  it supports multiple uses. It features  a special infra red heating system and a full complement of yoga equipment.

The food experience on the retreat

At Mulvarra, we are very excited about food. Excited about where it comes from, how it is grown, how it is prepared, who you eat it with. As we are still in the early stages of developing Mulvarra and its Breathing Space, we are currently using fresh ingredients and organic food where we can but in the future we will grow our own food.We generally stick to vegetarian cooking in Mulvarra, although we are flexible and also cater to a variety of dietary restrictions. Vegetarian cooking is so versatile, you really don’t miss that piece of meat on your plate when it’s not there. Whatever your thoughts are on the topic, there is no denying that the meat production in most countries is not sustainable and certainly not animal friendly. When we do, very occasionally, prepare meat dishes we make sure it’s organically sourced
