Your teacher:
eithne kennedy

As a yoga teacher and kinesiologist, Eithne believes passionately in the importance of yoga in our everyday lives and in its role in the maintenance of our health and wellbeing; she considers it a privilege to share the benefits of yoga with other people. The approach that she takes when teaching is that yoga is available to everyone; practicing yoga should be an enjoyable and uplifting experience that empowers the individual and offers a tool for life.

Eithne has been practicing yoga for over fifteen years, is qualified to teach at the IYA 500hr level since 2012 and is a member of teaching faculty on the 200 hr foundation teacher training programme at the Yoga Room.  She is hugely grateful to all her teachers, students and peers for all that they continue to teach her.

3 day workshop 13th - 15th march

2 nights and 2 days of deep practice with Eithne.  We will take time – time for asana, time for meditation, time for being and time to connect with the beauty of our surroundings, without distraction.  Morning practice will be a steady flow to energise and open the body, evening practice will be slow and meditative, so we can make space for whatever is arising within.  There will also be a Mantra Meditation session before lunch and Yoga Nidra before bedtime…plenty of opportunity to gently listen to the secrets of our Being!

Numbers will be small, making this an intimate experience and the perfect opportunity to explore the more subtle aspects of Yoga practice which can help to unlock our hidden depths…everything we need is within us!

This retreat is suitable for anyone with some experience of Yoga; if you’re not sure please contact us.

Highlights

  • 5 classes
  • All meals included
  • Time for yourself: relax, enjoy a river walk, read a book
  • 2 nights accommodation (shared and unshared accommodation options available)

The food experience on the retreat

At Mulvarra, we are very excited about food. Excited about where it comes from, how it is grown, how it is prepared, who you eat it with. As we are still in the early stages of developing Mulvarra and its Breathing Space, we are currently using fresh ingredients and organic food where we can but in the future we will grow our own food.We generally stick to vegetarian cooking in Mulvarra, although we are flexible and also cater to a variety of dietary restrictions. Vegetarian cooking is so versatile, you really don’t miss that piece of meat on your plate when it’s not there. Whatever your thoughts are on the topic, there is no denying that the meat production in most countries is not sustainable and certainly not animal friendly. When we do, very occasionally, prepare meat dishes we make sure it’s organically sourced

Food Highlights

  • Full board accommodation
  • All meals and drinks included
  • healthy energy snacks
  • Food is all vegetarian and organic produce
