  • about 1 tbsp water
  • 50 gr raw cocoa powder
  • 50 gr chopped dark chocolate
  • 65 gr chopped toasted pecan nuts
  • flaky sea salt

METHOD

So good! It’s easy, it’s fudgy and yummie and it’s hard not to eat the whole thing in one go….

Makes about 15 pieces
Vegetarian and vegan

  • Soak the dates in warm water for about 10 minutes.
  • Line a cake tin with baking paper.
  • Preheat the oven to 180℃.
  • Mix dates, coconut oil and water in a food processor until smooth and creamy.
  • Transfer to a bowl and add the cocoa powder, chocolate and pecan nuts (leave a few nuts to sprinkle on top later).
  • Mix until you have a yummy, sticky mixture.
  • Put it all in the prepared tin and press it down with the back of a spoon or spatula.
  • Bake for 10-15 minutes.
  • Leave to cool for at least 15 minutes (really important because it will set a bit as well).
  • Cut up in pieces and enjoy!
