Ensuring A safe reopening
We are delighted to welcome you back to Mulvarra House!
These past two years have been challenging for so many, including ourselves. We were able to open up safely in May 2021 by running all of our yoga classes outdoors for the whole summer. By September of last year, the restrictions on yoga studios were lifted, and we were able to resume indoor classes. This also meant we were able to welcome groups to stay and hold retreats.
We are all learning how to deal with these new circumstances. It is very important to us that everyone feels safe and that you can enjoy your stay here without feeling nervous or anxious.
As HSE and Government guidelines continue to evolve, we are constantly checking to make sure we are following best practice guidelines.
We have taken all the necessary precautions so we would appreciate it if you take some time to read through them so that you know what to expect from us and what we would expect from you. In this way, we can all enjoy the peace and tranquillity that Mulvarra House offers.
Please bring your own yoga mat and blanket, If you are accustomed to using a meditation cushion or other props please bring those and use them exclusively . If you do not have your own mat, you can buy one here for €20.
Our retreat groups will be very small (7 people for now) so everyone can adhere to social distancing measures.
If you have been in contact with an infected or high-risk person less than two weeks before the start of a retreat, we kindly ask you to contact us so we can see if we can book you in for another retreat.
If you have travelled by plane less than two weeks before the start of a retreat, we kindly ask you to contact us so we can see if we can book you in for another retreat.
If you show any symptoms, please wait with booking a retreat until you are symptom-free.
Also we think it unwise and unreasonable to ask people to share a bedroom with someone they have never met. So we are restricting all of our rooms except one to single occupancy. Our largest room will be available to share but only with a partner, friend or relative. This also means we are restricting the overall number on any given retreat to seven – to ensure social distancing. All of our rooms are en-suite.
We will make sure that there are hand sanitizers in the entrance hall, the dining room, the living room and The Breathing Space Studio. As you will have your own bathroom, you can wash your hands frequently.
We kindly ask you to appreciate individual differences. Please feel free to retire whenever you feel the need to do so and come talk to us when you feel uncomfortable: we can only help you if you let us know what we can do to make you feel safer. We do not provide masks or gloves, but please feel free to bring these if that makes you feel safer.
If you have any specific concerns or request that you would like to make, please let us know. And any suggestions from your end are very welcome. This is new territory for everyone, so we are learning on the go and it is important to support each other.
Thanks for taking the time to read these guidelines.
