Mulvarra House is a new workshop and retreat centre located in the village of St Mullins on the River Barrow. We run weekend workshops and retreats primarily in the areas of yoga/meditation, traditional arts and crafts, and food. Located right on the border of Carlow, Kilkenny, and Wexford, we are an hour and a half away from Dublin. Waterford and Kilkenny are practically on our doorstep.
Your hosts, Tim and Linda, have created a wonderfully peaceful and relaxed environment at Mulvarra. While at Mulvarra, you will get to experience a truly magical landscape which surrounds the ancient monastic site of St Mullins, the jewel of the River Barrow. Whether you come to Mulvarra to practice yoga, unleash your creativity, paint, meditate, or just stay and rest and relax, you will come away feeling replenished and revived.

Slow flow retreat - with Susie Murray and Aideen Bates
We are delighted to welcome Susie Murray and Aideen Bates to Mulvarra House for a slow flow yoga retreat in the new year!
This retreat is open to anyone who wishes to take an opportunity to rest by granting the body and mind to deeply relax, and allow a space to open and release old tensions that no longer serve you. Feel fully recharged and completely refreshed for the year ahead. Clearing away old stagnant energy and gently rising, awakening and warming the body and soul for 2020.

Join Oonagh Trehin, a registered associate nutritionist, and Liesl Keen, an organisational psychology and human resources professional and coach for a day workshop at Mulvarra House.
They know what it is like trying to do it all and trying to have it all- and ultimately, letting our health suffer. This is a day to focus on YOU, your needs and goals for 2020. Let them help you refresh and reset for the new year!

An introduction to Yoga and mindfulness - with Tim Dawson
Join Tim for a relaxing and peaceful weekend at Mulvarra House.
If you ever felt like trying yoga and/or meditation, but did not know where to begin, then this very special retreat is for you. Don't worry whether you have sufficient flexibility or fitness levels, this weekend retreat takes a very gentle approach which will be accessible for everyone. Or perhaps you have been practising yoga yourself or in a class for some time but would like to go straight to the first principles to reinforce your understanding of the basic building blocks of yoga and mindfulness meditation.

If you are looking for a weekend yoga retreat for 10 to 14 people this is the place to go. Beautiful countryside over looking the river Barrow with lots of ancient ruins and walks. The yoga studio is a separate space which adds to the experience. Tim and Linda provided us with “mouth watering food “ and could not do enough to make our weekend enjoyable!
I have just come down to earth after a magical weekend yoga retreat in Mulvarra House. It is my second retreat in Mulvarra and it will not be the last. Everything was perfect from the incredibly peaceful yoga studio, to the most comfortable bed, to the heart warming vegetarian food. Just back from a wonderful yoga weekend retreat at Mulvarra House. A hidden gem with a gorgeous studio and decking area with spectacular views. A beautiful comfortable house with lovely dining area. I could not fault a thing. Hosts Tim and Linda were so welcoming and the food was delicious healthy and wholesome. I feel replenished and nourished ? thank you. Looking forward to the next one
Restorative and cosy stay in a beautiful, rural setting. The retreat was filled with epic food, great company and of course, loads of yoga in the peaceful studio. Seriously, this retreat centre is one to watch!
