Come and stay with us at Mulvarra House
Discover St. Mullins, the Jewel of the Barrow
We are a family run B&B with an enchanted location which has to be seen to be believed. We are nestled into the hill which climbs out of the historic village of St Mullins. Below us the mighty Barrow River winds its majestic way. A particularly dramatic section of the Barrow valley stretches off to the north framed by St Mullins' seventh century monastic settlement and Brandon Hill in the background. A truly epic vista awaits you in a relatively undiscovered part of Ireland's Ancient East.

What our clients say
Tim and Linda were wonderfully accommodating when our plans changed due to Hurricane Ophelia. We really appreciated their hospitality, especially the option to have dinner at the B&B – which was absolutely delicious! We have already tried re-creating the pasta dish at home. We loved sitting by the fire reading and meeting other guests. The area was also lovely – we really enjoyed our walk along the river and checking out the local monastery and grounds.
We loved our stay at the Mulvarra House. When we arrived there was a fire going in the sitting room and the home was so warm and inviting. Tim and Linda have done an excellent job with this B&B. They were extremely friendly and very hospitable. Their traditional Irish Breakfast was very good and it was so nice to be able to talk to Linda afterwards to get advice on what to see and do that day. The house is on a beautiful setting nestled on a hilltop overlooking the river and St Mullins. I would highly recommend this B&B!
A Room with a view…and much more
We loved the view from the balcony, The B & B was spotlessly clean, comfortable, with helpful owners. The breakfasts were great with a good choice. It was nice to have a shared fridge. There was nothing we did not like about our two night stay.
For various unavoidable reasons we arrived at Mulvarra House only at 22:15 h in the evening, but although the ordinary check-in time is between 16-19 h, the owner Tim warmly welcomed us and showed full understanding. The next morning we were able to enjoy the awesome view from the balconies of our rooms. It is absolutely fantastic!
For breakfast we had the choice between various offers. Everything was freshly prepared and served by Linda, Tim’s wife, who was extremly attentive, polite and friendly.
We enjoyed the stay at Mulvarra House very much and will surely return, if we plan another trip to Ireland.
